Ankle Problems

Arthritis of joints of the ankle is a disabling form of degenerative joint disease that often can often follow trauma or surgery and lead to further ankle problems. There may also be associated tendon problems and ligamentous injuries that may or may not be amenable to cell therapy. It is important to evaluate each individual case to assess likelihood of success with attempting regenerative therapy. has developed a degenerative joint disease SVF deployment protocol that attempts to exploit the anti-inflammatory and healing effects of SVF (rich in mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors). SVF is injected using local anesthesia into the ankle and radiographic imaging techniques are often used to ensure accuracte deployment of the SVF (rich in mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors). This is all done as an outpatient at the time of SVF harvesting and procurement. The entire cellular surgical procedure takes approximately 3 hours.
